Patient research opportunity for Oesophago-Gastric cancer patients Heartburn Cancer UK and Guts UK are collaborating with a pharmaceutical company and a market research firm to conduct patient research with Oesophago-Gastric cancer patients. The purpose of the research is to Raise awareness of patients experience of Oesophago-Gastric Cancer and treatment, with the aim of improving the quality of cancer care. The learnings will be communicated through a publication of case studies of patients’ lives with Oesophago-Gastric Cancer, to illustrate how Oesophago-Gastric cancer affects patients and their loved ones. The case studies and report will take the form of a booklet that will be presented to parliamentarians, NHS policymakers, British media as well as healthcare practitioners. The research is sponsored by a pharmaceutical company, and their name will be revealed on completion of the research. Research Partnership, a global healthcare market research agency, will conduct the research through a 90-minute discussion via an online platform. The interviews will be followed by a 7-day digital journal, which is optional. Through a smartphone, patients will be asked to do some tasks that will require 10 min per day over 7 days (70 minutes).
