In a candid interview with The Mirror, our brave and determined chair, Mimi McCord shares the story of events which lead her to start Heartburn Cancer UK and her drive to raise awareness of the symptoms her late husband, Mike McCord, suffered.

Heartburn Cancer UK is determined to support capsule sponge test technology being widely available through GP surgeries so people can be quickly and easily checked meaning they can be given peace of mind or diagnosed and treated earlier helping save lives.

LINACRE Trial

The Oxford Clinical Trials Unit are applying for funding for an exciting new clinical trial for patients with Barrett’s Oesophagus. Recruited patients will be randomly selected to either continue with life long medication or have a device, called a LINX, fitted at the base of the oesophagus to reduce the symptoms associated with Barrett's.
