Our office is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire which was host to a free art sculpture trail throughout the summer, exhibiting gorgeously painted “Hampshire Hogs.”  The Hogs were auctioned by Andrew Smith & Son last week, with profits being donated to a number of local charities.  HCUK are thrilled to have received over £4000 as a result.

These funds will enable us to continue working towards increased awareness of the dangers of ignoring persistent heartburn, to inform and support those with persistent heartburn, Barrett’s oesophagus or oesophageal cancer and to further projects that increase rates of earlier diagnosis, such as our mobile diagnostic unit which we hope to develop from a pilot study to a longer term service.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the artists, all those who have purchased the beautiful Hogs and everyone involved in organising the trail and auction.  You have made a huge difference to our work and to the community we support.

A selection of our hogs are pictured below - the full selection can be seen on our facebook page.
