Latest News Exciting new partnership with family run company, DOC Cleaning Ltd. Heartburn Cancer UK are thrilled to have been chosen as one of DOC Cleaning's Charity Partners. The relationship started through one of our wonderful supporters, Jane Malone. Jane lost her dear step-father, Bill, to oesophageal cancer in 2018. Sadly, Bill was diagnosed too late and the cancer was too advanced to be treated effectively. Since his passing, Jane has participated in the Royal Parks in aid of HCUK and she will be running the iconic London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April. DOC Cleaning Limited was established in 1972, as a small family business. Over fifty years later, they have grown considerably and now have over 1,300 staff but remain an independent, family led business with an emphasis on exceptional standards, trusted relationships, and traditional values. Providing managed services throughout the whole of the UK, DOC Cleaning are proud to count some of the world’s most iconic buildings, businesses, museums, and tourist attractions in their growing portfolio. "Our partnership with HCUK is personal, with oesophageal cancer having directly affected family members of our company’s leadership team. With so many employees, from many diverse and cultural backgrounds, there is no doubt that oesophageal cancer could have affected them or their family and friends. By supporting HCUK we can bring greater awareness and fundraising to ensure better outcomes for anyone diagnosed - Jeff Silver, Head of ESG”. With their support, HCUK hopes to be able to expand our reach and get our awareness message to a much wider audience. Our wish is that by sharing information with the public of the risks of ignoring persistent heartburn it will encourage people to seek medical advice prompting earlier diagnosis - where appropriate - to save lives. This partnership will also help us to continue supporting those living with reflux, Barrett’s oesophagus and oesophageal cancer. We are excited to see how our partnership with DOC Cleaning develops. Huge thanks to Jane for the introduction and we wish you the very best of luck for Sunday's marathon! If you would like to donate to Jane's Fundraising click here Manage Cookie Preferences
