We are sharing a great chance to help shape a UK wide research study. The study is looking to see if a new test, called a Cytosponge, can help pick up cancer of the oesophagus (food pipe) early. Researchers at King’s College London need your help to make sure the study works for people from all backgrounds. They would like people to share their opinions on the study plans. This would not involve taking the Cytosponge test.

They are looking for people with the following to share their views:Cytosponge

  • People aged 55-79
  • Have taken antacid drugs for heartburn, reflux and/or indigestion for at least six months
  • People with and without a diagnosis of Barrett’s oesophagus
  • People who would and would not take the Cytosponge test if they were offered it

You don’t need to know anything about the Cytosponge or research to join the team. You will be compensated for your time and reimbursed for any travel. More information can be found at https://www.cpg-ppi.com/best-4.

For any questions or to share your interest in taking part, please get in touch with them at [email protected].
