As I sit here, in the comfort of my home, feeling pleased that I ran 5 miles on Wednesday evening, Chrissy Gorham will be standing on the start line of her ninth marathon in the last 9 days and tomorrow she will do the same again, to complete the most outstanding challenge on behalf of HCUK.  10 marathons in 10 days.  That's 262 miles, all run in memory of her late husband John and to raise awareness and funds for charities that supported him during his battle with oesophageal cancer.

Despite, rain, mud, almost lost toe nails and an ankle injury Chrissy is determined to cross the final finish line - although we are sure there will be anther challenge brewing.... We are absolutely in awe of your grit and determination Chrissy and, as ever, so extremely thankful for your extraordinary fundraising efforts.

If you feel inspired to donate to support our work in raising awareness, increasing early diagnosis and improving the prognosis for those with oesophageal cancer then please look at Chrissy's Just Giving page.  Not only will you be making a difference to our work, you will be giving a mental boost to help the most incredible woman complete a few more steps towards those 262 miles.

Thank you Chrissy.
