HCUK London Oesophageal Cancer Support Group

BURP! Logo

A very warm welcome to the homepage of our brand new support group, BURP!

With the Clinical expertise of Upper GI Clinical Nurse Specialists, Donna and Rebecca, the group aims to give support to those living with oesophageal/gastric cancer and to give members the opportunity to chat to others facing similar issues.

The group held their first meeting on the 23rd February 2023 and it was lovely to welcome some patients to the group.  The meeting opened with a little introduction from the attendees, followed by, group founder and oesophageal cancer patient, Martin, bravely sharing his story so far.  We all enjoyed some refreshments and everyone got a chance to chat amongst themselves.  At this meeting we discussed the hopes for the group and also decide on the frequency of the meetings.  The consensus was that we they would be every month.

The next meeting will be as follows:

Thursday 30th March at 1pm until 2.30pm at Chase Farm Hospital, Q Zone, 127 The Ridgeway, Enfield, EN2 8JT in meeting room 4.

Everyone is welcome, including patients, relatives and friends.
