View along The River Test from a bridge

Just like Heartburn Cancer UK, the Walk The Test Way walk is 20 years old this year.  This popular annual event, organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey, has now hit the 1 million mark in donations raised for charity. The event is a fully marshalled and signposted walk on the stunningly scenic paths of the Test Way, in Hampshire. Participants will take a private coach to their starting point from Romsey's Crosfield Hall and, depending on the distance they have chosen, will finish in Memorial Park where there will be a warm welcome and a medal awaiting.

There are a variety of distances to choose from so hopefully it will appeal to many.  You could get the whole family involved and even take your 4 legged friend too.

  • 25.5 miles - St Marybourne
  • 16 miles - Wherwell
  • 11 miles - Stockbridge
  • 8 miles - Horsebridge
  • 5 miles - Mottisfont

There is a suggested minimum sponsorship of £50 per walker which must be collected via the Just Giving page for Rotary Club of Romsey Test Trust Fund.   By specifying when you register that you wish to support Heartburn Cancer UK, funds you raise will be distributed 80% to HCUK and 20% to Rotary.

I would like to thank everyone involved with the Romsey Rotary Test Way Walk.  From the registration, the transport to our start point, the marshals (always smiling!) to the finish in the Memorial Park was brilliant.  This is one of the best organised events I have participated in, so please pass on my thanks to all your members and helpers
