A few ideas to inspire you Todays post is a simple collection of photos and ideas that might tempt you to try something new. With care (and fizzy water) I have successfully eaten and enjoyed everything here. Firstly, I've got two tasty ways to make a great meal using an Avocado. Please see the photo to the right, it's delicious topped with blue cheese and crispy streaky bacon, either in the oven or under the grill. Alternatively, mash it and serve with Parma ham, topped off with a soft poached egg. Delicious, nutritious and filling. The little treat above left was scallops with a crispy bacon (or Walnut) crumb served on Stornaway black pudding with broccoli, asparagus tips and a whisky cream sauce. Next to it just a simple poached sea bass with prawns and peas. Lastly, for a real indulgence I love oysters with lime, fresh ginger and chilli. To date I have always managed to eat them. After watching Masterchef recently I'm considering trying them fried in tempura batter too..... None of this is about creating art, it's about creating tasty food that I can actually eat. It doesn't always work out the first time around, it certainly requires time and patience but the satisfaction it gives me and the taste of the food make every moment worth it. If I can just inspire you to have a go and see what you can come up with then I will have achieved what I set out to do. Manage Cookie Preferences
